Applications/Automation Engineer


The Application/Robotic Engineer is responsible forthe formulation, administration and Coordination of engineering projects,policies, processes, methods and procedures designed to improve operatingperformance.


  • Assist withmaintaining approvals and processes for current products

  • Assist with non-conformanceand incidents investigations

  • Maintain datadriven focus on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) working closely with the qualitydepartment

  • Understand plantcapacity and work with management team to shape resource to need

  • Utilize plantfinancial data to understand profitability of work streams

  • Identify andmitigate risks to production through robust process and equipment management

  • Work as an integralteam member on productivity projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigmapractice


  • New productIntroduction

  • Responsibility forthe effective operation of manufacturing functions that supports timely andcost competitive bids for new business, in both new products and repeatbusiness

  • Customer facingrole directly supporting sales team activity with technical detail on processes

  • Project managementof new process and equipment installations

  • Needs analysis andequipment selection

  • Assist with developmentof capital models and project justification

  • Deployment andvalidation of new production processes

  • Interpretcustomer’s specifications and requirements for given project assignments Compliance

  • Enforce all health,safety and environmental policies and procedure, to achieve Zero / Zero target

  • Work with plantmanagement team to ensure plant remains compliant to quality and regulatoryrequirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent

  • 3-5yrs of Engineering experience

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment

  • Be self-motivated, and able to work without appreciable direction

  • Possess the ability to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and analyse data

  • Must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving and analytical capability

  • Must be proficient using MS Office applications

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple activities simultaneously and successfullyEffective interfacing and collaborating with business and operations leaders as well as frontline employees

  • Musthavestrong interpersonal,influenceandcommunicationskills,bothverbalandwritten

  • Experience in programming industrial robots

  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)

  • Be willing to travel up to 50%
