Account Manager


Praxair Services, Inc. islooking for an Account Manager covering the Southeast Texas including but notlimited to Port Arthur, Beaumont and Orange.

PSI’s industrialservices are extensive and offer refineries, chemical plants, pipelines,storage terminals, utilities and steel mills services including cleaning,purging, drying, displacing, cooling, leak testing, pressure testing andinspection of piping, furnaces, vessels, reactors and tanks.

Job Purpose: Grow sales revenues and profits to gain newstrategic opportunities and meet sales targets within an assigned geographicarea. Accountable for achieving arevenue quota by seeking out new customers and maintaining productive workingrelationships with existing customers.

Scope: This self-motivated individual contributor isaccountable for maintaining and expanding business within their area ofresponsibility by selling PSI Product and Service offerings.


  • Develop plans for each account including short term and long term goals, tactics and pricing

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers at current and potential customers

  • Develop and negotiate proposals for the supply of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and/or other industrial services to refinery, chemical, pipeline and related sectors

  • Deliver profitable sales growth and operating profit consistent with PSI's overall objectives

  • Support and market organization's service offerings to current and potential customers

  • Responsible for margin growth in respective area to include managing price actions

  • Focus on forecasting, prospecting and new business development

  • Manage most aspects of client relationship

  • Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and quoting data as well as CRM management

  • Conducts competitive intelligence

  • Represents Praxair Services in a professional manner at all times

  • Collaborate within entire Praxair organization for maximum results


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred; Engineering degree a plus

  • 5 years Sales experience

  • Strong familiarity within refining, chemical, natural gas, pipeline or related industries preferred

  • Computer skills, including Word, Power Point, Excel, and CRM

  • Clear, concise communication and presentation skills
