Praxair Canada, Inc. , a leading supplier of industrial,medical and specialty gases, has an opening in our Edmonton, Alberta branchlocation for a:

Cylinder Driver – Class 3

Major responsibilities:

  • Deliveryof liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to scheduled customers using a single or tandemaxle tanker. Includes responsibility for daily loading of the tanker.

  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections,including but not limited to, liftingthe cab hood, inspecting the engine and components. Then noting and explaining defects or deficiencies.

  • Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation ofDangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

  • Complete and maintain all required training as assigned.

  • Complete daily delivery logs and other necessary reports.

  • Completemonthly credit card reconciliations as well as any other necessary reports in atimely manner.

Qualifications - Education and Professional experience:

  • Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Class 3Driver's License with air brake endorsement and 3 years’ experience.

  • Class 1 License considered an asset

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Havea strong commitment toward safety. Remain attentive in hazard recognition.

  • Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) [considered anasset]

  • Must have basic computer & mobile device skills foremail and summary reports in Excel.

  • Knowledge of the food & beverageindustry would be an asset

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability tounderstand gas systems would be an asset.
