Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative [Counter Sales] position will be responsible for performing sales activities inside the store. This position will also act as a customer service representative to develop sales relationships with walk-in and telephone customers and ensure that customer’s needs are met in a professional and timely fashion.

Major responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for the efficient processing of customer orders, answers and responds to telephone and walk-in sales orders and product inquiries

  • Sell gases and welding products to walk-in and telephone customers

  • Maintain appearance of the branch and maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

  • Use knowledge of welding applications and products to ensure Praxair products meet customer requirements

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager

  • Minimum 2 years inside sales or counter/inside sales experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Marketing or related field considered an asset

  • Good communication, computer skills as well as a strong commitment to safety

  • Knowledge of welding Industry applications and products to meet customer requirements considered an asset

  • A proven background of meeting sales and margin goals and gaining new customers.

  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment
