Praxair SurfaceTechnologies, Inc. has opportunities for Account Manager / SalesRepresentatives in ourAdvanced Materials & Equipmentbusiness. We are seeking diligent self-starterspassionate about working with customers and solving their toughchallenges.

Territory:West Coast Region

Responsibilities:

  • Performs direct sales of thermalspray powders to key customers, within a definedgeographical territory, generating planned sales revenue from these accounts

  • Accountable for achieving salesgoals and growing the existing customer base

  • Understands the needs of the marketwithin a specified territory and works to acquire a significant portion of thebusiness growth within that area

  • Accountable for identifying,developing and implementing strategies for major accounts

  • Serves as a single point ofresolution for customers’ needs for the assigned market/industry segment and/orgeographic area accounts

  • Performs lead generation and newbusiness acquisition within the specified territory

  • Develops valuable relationships withkey decision makers and influencers

  • Recognizes account needs that shouldor could develop into a market offering

  • Supports distributor sales in theterritory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering orMaterial Science); MBA preferred

  • 5 to 10 years’ Sales experience, preferably inthe aviation and/or industrial gas turbine industry

  • Thermal spray coatings experience stronglypreferred

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with alllevels of an organization

  • Excellent written and oral communicationskills; excellent organization skills; Self motivator.

  • Prior experience negotiating price, commercialterms and long term agreements preferred

  • Strong Computer (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);CRM and Internet Research Skills preferred

Rolerequires traveling 50-75% of the time to interface with customers and internalproduction facilities.
