JobScope

  • Plans and executes sales for specific key accounts and develops new key customers

  • Works under minimal supervision with guidance in only most complex situations

  • Experienced employee that has often worked in area of specialty for many years

  • Has high level of authority and opportunity to set and negotiate contractual terms

  • Plans own approach and manages own resources

  • Utilizes in depth knowledge and advanced problem solving skills to translate strategic direction into tactical plans and implementation activities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers and colleagues

  • Regularly interfaces with business unit and functionalleadership

JobDuties

  • Promotes sales, introduces the organization's programs and provides account service to assigned and potential customers

  • Focuses on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting problems

  • May have special market or more complex product lines assigned that require significant client relationships skills

  • Works to grow sales revenues and profits, gain new strategic opportunities and meet sales targets

  • Develops plans for each account, incorporating fully developed customer needs, including long and short term goals and tactics, determines pricing and maximizes revenue

  • Maintains and increases existing revenue stream

  • In the process of doing business with the customers, develops knowledge and collects data on the account's business, products, processes, growth opportunities and customers, to better understand general market and specific customer needs

  • Maintains coordination and communication with other groups such as marketing, customer service, etc. to ensure that the account strategies are aligned with available resources and market objectives

  • Understands the value of the Company's products and application technology in developing pricing recommendations

  • Thoroughly understands and communicates Praxair’s product supply agreements regarding terms and conditions, liability issues and compensation on commercial issues

Qualifications

  • 5 years of sales experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline preferred
